Darren is a Chartered Structural Engineer with a real passion for construction. Darren thrives on finding simple solutions to complex problems. He setup dbstructural from his spare room, the rest is history!

Stuart is a Chartered Civil Engineer with more than 18 years’ industry experience. Combining a keen eye for technical detail with robust regulatory expertise, he transforms complex site challenges into constructible realities. Outside the office Stuart enjoys astrophotography and trying to play the guitar.

Olly is a real people person. He enjoys training and helping his colleagues in the office and is great at explaining complicated concepts in simple terms. If Olly’s not playing sport he’s thinking about it, especially football and darts (yes, darts is a sport!).

A profoundly technical engineer, James has more than 20 years’ experience in the industry. Outside of work James enjoys gardening and long country walks (as long as they end or go via a public house!).

Clive is an experienced and passionate engineer with a wealth of knowledge, having been in the industry for more than 30 years. Clive enjoys a range of sports, particularly rugby having previously represented Ealing Rugby Club.

Phil is technical master who takes great pride over the quality of his (and our) output. Phil has been in the industry for circa 35 years (18+ of those working with Clive). There isn’t anything Phil can’t handle – “feed the Phil and he will draw!”

Alex is a team player who loves learning and getting stuck into new projects. Otherwise known as ‘Alan’ (we’ve forgotten why!), he is a passionate Arsenal fan and a self-proclaimed food connoisseur.

Carmen is an experienced, technical structural engineer with a passion for reinforced concrete projects. Out of the office you’ll find her on the court, playing tennis.

Sam is a structural and civil technician who is fast becoming an engineering star. Sam has a passion for 3D models, drones and the odd fast car!

Jack is dbstructural’s REVIT and BIM (building information modelling) mastermind, collaborating with the wider design team to bring the design to life. When he’s not masterminding designs for dbstructural, you’ll find Jack enjoying dog walks with his wife and Stanley the Cavapoo, on the golf course (in fair weather!), or playing pool.

Joe joined us in January 2024 for one day a week of work experience alongside his college studies. His potential quickly shone through, and we were thrilled when he accepted a full-time role. We’re now supporting him through his studies. Outside work Joe enjoys sports (darts and football). Fun fact: Joe once starred in a film alongside his twin brother.

Sam is our junior civil engineer, assisting with all things drainage and highways. Sam embraces every challenge with open arms, including his darts. Sam is also a golf lover and (unfortunately) an Arsenal supporter.

Vikii has been part of dbstructural since the early days – our second team member after Olly. She loves a loft conversion project best or drawing up bespoke frame details. Vikii is a mum of two and in her spare time she enjoys yoga.

Falon brings her warm energy and organisational flair to the team as Office Administrator and PA. When she’s not keeping the office running smoothly, she’s busy at home with her two young daughters. A self-confessed lover of all things festive, Falon is happiest when planning holidays or diving into the magic of Christmas.

Matt joined us in March 2026 in a brand-new role focused on bringing in new contacts and developing our profile. With a background owning his own wine business and holding senior sales roles within the wine trade, he brings a wealth of commercial expertise to the team. Outside work, Matt is a father of four (tiring!) and a loyal Luton Town FC supporter, the definition of patience!
